MIB2 Compatibility
This applies to Škoda vehicles from roughly 2015–2020 with an MIB2 head unit (Amundsen, Bolero or Columbus). Škoda models from 2020–2025 use MIB3 instead, which needs a different activation.
How to Check Your Unit
Hold MENU for 3 seconds → Software Update/Versions → Installed SW Train Version.
A software version starting with MST2 and two SD card slots (SD1 and SD2) confirms a compatible unit. Some early 2015/2016 models need an additional programming step (via a separate OBD-based tool) alongside this activation to fully enable Smart Link.
