Is Your VW Compatible?

Before booking, you can quickly check your infotainment system using the steps below.

Step 1 – Check Your Software Version

On your infotainment system, hold MENU for 3 seconds, then select: Software update/versions → Installed SW Train Version.

Your software version should begin with MST2. Examples of compatible software trains include: MST2_EU_VW_E0220D, MST2_EU_VW_PQ_P0245T, MST2_EU_VW_ZR_P0245T

Step 2 – Check Your SD Card Slots

If your head unit has two SD card slots labelled SD1 and SD2, it's a supported configuration. If your unit has only one SD card slot, it may still be supported if your MST2 software version ends in D and the App-Connect function is available on your infotainment system.

What Does VW App-Connect Give You?

Once activated, compatible VW MIB2 systems can use Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, smartphone navigation, music and audio apps, hands-free calling, and other compatible smartphone applications.

Important Compatibility Information

⚠ Your unit must have an MST2 software version. Units with two SD card slots are supported; a unit with one SD card slot can also be supported where the software version ends in D and the App-Connect function is present. Compatibility depends on the exact infotainment hardware and software installed in your vehicle.
