BMW Wireless CarPlay & Android Auto MMI Box

Retrofit box for wireless CarPlay and Android Auto on older, non-native systems.

For older BMW CIC and standard NBT systems (roughly 2009–2017) that have no native CarPlay capability at all, this retrofit box adds full wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto through your existing screen — without replacing any factory hardware.

The unit installs discreetly behind the dashboard and is fully controlled through your existing iDrive controller, steering wheel buttons, or touchscreen where fitted.

MMI Box Compatibility

This retrofit is designed for BMW 1/2/3/4/5/6/7 Series and X1/X3/X4/X5/X6 models fitted with CIC or standard NBT (non-EVO) systems, roughly 2009–2017, including MINI F56.

Screen sizes of 6.5", 8.8" and 10.25" are supported. If you're not sure whether your system is CIC, NBT, or NBT EVO, a quick photo of your infotainment screen is the easiest way to confirm.
